The main focus of each shot will be the emergency posts located around campus. I think this could make a good project because it incorporates lots of lines. There is the line between the cement and the grass leading to the post, and then there are the parallel lines of the trees. After taking this photo, I realised I should probably make the photograph longer lengthwise rather than widthwise, but I was not sure how to approach that without diminishing the focus on the post. I like the natural colouring for this photo because the brightness of the colours are louder than if it was edited which pulls your attention as is intended for the pole to do.
I think for this series, I just want to convey that there are certain ways to emphasise an object and really point out what those ways are. I think the natural nature of the image will highlight the importance of standing out within our world rather than having to be drawn out through other methods. I want to use line to draw the observers’ eyes to the centre post to show that your eyes can be drawn to help if you let them.
Also, I do not know how to rotate an image on the blog to be upright because the image is upright in my photos.
