I wanted my images to depict the feeling of being trapped. I feel like so often we feel trapped within our own minds, but I want to externalize that feeling and put it in a realistic setting.

I only had one proposal for this project and that was to have a person trapped and for me to be reaching in and pulling them out of it. Initially I thought this would be a cool concept representing freedom, but in the end, it turned out that you cannot always pull someone out when they are trapped, and I realized that as I tried to take those photos.

I used a projector as my technical support because it allowed me to transport my subject to be trapped anywhere.
