In this proposal, I have chose to photograph staircases. I would like this series to have a little more variety, some maybe taken from the very top looking down, as seen in the example image, and others possibly taken from the bottom looking up. Regardless of the composition, the main subject and focal point of the photo will be the staircase.

With this series I hope to demonstrate how architecture has evolved overtime. By photographing more recent buildings, such as the one seen in the example pick, and placing it alongside older buildings, I hope to highlight the design differences between the 2. I also want to play with the lighting in the photographs. By photographing staircases with minimal lighting, it will hopefully give a more eerie, and antique feel to the photograph. Tools like these will hopefully highlight the differences between the stairs.
