In the last entry, I talked about how hard some artists try to conceal themselves. By contrast, Kyle Athayde's Dance Party plays loud and proud!

Like this is an actual band rehearsal. Someone somewhere got to see them play it live! Tisk, tisk I guess I will just have to settle for scraps (.﹒︣︿﹒︣.)

Another cover by Noteblock World. I try not to have more than one song per artist in my playlist but every now and again, some slip through.

Since I gave the Noteblock World lore dump last time, I think I will give some lore on the artists behind Connect: ClariS.

ClariS started as a duet between two high school girls who would post songs to Niconico, that's a Japanese video site that could have once been described as a competitor to YouTube. Eventually they were scouted and ended up voicing songs for many anime. Connect for Madoka Magica is probably one of the most famous examples.

It's hard being a kid online. And it's only getting harder. ClariS never revealed that they were minors during the time of their original covers and first gigs until many years later. First there's the prejudice, then there's the belittling... And inspite of that every star wants to shine. The "We are all adults here" attitude we hold, refusing to hold anyone's hand online; that's harmful. It makes it more difficult to Connect, y'know?

I sure ain't guilty about loving this cover from metalcad!

A sad sight it is to hear such sad music from a channel forgotten, a band disbanded.

It's stories like this which really get me \(T_T)/. It's especially those Ace Attorney and Kingdom Hearts covers which reaaally got me sucked into the loop of friends, lovers and family making music together. So you can partially blame a sense of community for my Music Recs page.

Through YouTube Poop, Vine, and other memes Running in the 90s continues to survive as such a memorable song. Noteblock World's version in Minecraft is no exception.

Noteblock World is, hence the name, a Noteblock artist. What they are very keen about making clear is that all of their covers are hand-made. Amazingly, they continue making songs **to this day**. That is absolutely crazy!

Have you ever heard about the story of the famous violinist who tried playing music in the subway to see if anyone would recognize him? His name was Joshua Bell.

The Internet, and YouTube, are chock full of professional or orchestral musicians like this who at the time of recording must have had all eyes on them. But on YouTube, lucky for you if you can catch a few 1000 views without them clicking away! Dan's playlists are a good point to start humbling oneself.

Some artists spend their whole lives trying to find an audience, others trying to keep it. Recorder Legend had a few hits such as
Spongebob Krusty Krab song on recorder and FORTNITE DANCES ON RECORDER 2 garnering a few million views each.

Yet, I think my favorite song would have to be the cover of `Planetarium` from `La La La Land`. It doesn't sound like a recorder here at all, it's so soft. It reminds me of the old Dragonvale soundtrack, for anyone who remembers that game.

It's a real shame that such a beautiful cover was buried under so many memes, it's the least viewed song on the channel as a matter of fact. I'm just glad to have stumbled upon it and doubly glad to have shared it with you :)

`And Here's To The Fools Who Dream`

Johny Atma's Gametal is the most metal channel this side of the interwebs. This song in particular made it into my playlist around the time I was listening to a lot of Ace Attorney music. There was just so much love for this series, the epidemy of that being the Phoenix Wright Musical Project. Seeing all that made me want to start jotting down artists who I thought deserved more recognition.

In particular, this song `Pursuit ~ Wanting to Find the Truth` is relatively unknown even among fans of the series. Since Gyakuten Kenji 2 has still not been released outside of Japan, not many people have gotten to hear this song. There is a fan translation, as shown in the footage, which I hope has been completed by now.

It's very easy to write off cover artists as thieves, but considering the sheer amount of right people being at the right places at the right times to have made this video possible, one comes to realize it is complex. And rest assured, Johny Atma's other covers rarely dissapoint!

Vackarash is an insanely talented accordion artist who mainly does Video Game music covers. "was" and "used to do", to be more precise. He abandoned YouTube some 2 years ago due to it being an unsustainable source of income. Still, this rendition of Gaur Plains really caries the sense of beginning a new adventure that the original version had.
