My first project is titled "Hospital Hallways". This project captures the atmosphere of the hospital spaces that shaped much of my experience growing up. Through images of various hallways—the suite hallways leading to patient rooms, the admitting area, and the testing area—I aimed to document the spaces that became familiar fixtures in my life while caring for my sickly grandmother (who is a huge part of my life). Each hallway holds a different part of the hospital experience that I am most familiar with, representing the essence of the quietness, waiting, and vulnerability, which are all a part of me navigating my grandmother's illness. The corridors tell a story of resilience and the passage of time in places that can often feel isolating yet deeply personal.
(This project stemmed from my initial concept of "Path" and taking pictures of pathways that people commonly take, but I decided to do a more personal approach at the end.)
