thinking of the gangs again and I'm finally gripping what it is exactly I want them to be, almost. going to stay with the red/yellow/blue theme if I can. I admit it's silly but it does fit well with their boss having black blood so in it goes.

yellow I've always conceptualized as having flowers blooming out of their hearts. in a body horror sort of way, yes, but not as horrifying. they think it's pretty. they aren't the most suited to fighting in actual combat and thus are sort of diplomatic compared to the other gangs. leaders are appointed their position from the last rather than winning it.

red I'm seeing now as having crystals bursting forth from them. again in a body horror way, but instead of how yellow sort of brushes it under the rug I want to actually really dig into the aspect of 'I'm not fully alive' with them. always seen them as one big family, sort of like the biggest thanksgiving gathering you'll ever seen. miraculously they do not fight with one another and function somehow.

blue I'm still not sure on. but I know that I sort of want to avoid giving them a water motif because that would feel too stereotypical. "of course they're water because water is blue" and that sort of junk.
