Type in a name, and this handy tool will generate a cartoon cat with random features for you! (The features are 'pseudo-random', so it's unpredictable what a given name will produce, but the same name will always give the same features.) It's a fun little toy -- what kinds of cats can you create?
Amazing old school British website about cats, updated as recently as 2021. Contains a lot of random information and news stories about cats doing funny things. I'm so charmed by the retro aesthetic of this page. Be sure to check out all the various pages linked on the left-hand sidebar as well.
It turns out that (contrary to myth) medieval people were big fans of cats. Includes some excellent cats doodled in the margins of manuscripts by scribes, as well as one documented instance of someone complaining about their cat peeing on the book they were trying to write by hand. As well as some actually interesting information on medieval history! Whenever I read about this stuff, I'm always amazed how different it is compared to how we talk about it in pop culture. Turns out medieval people weren't just idiots, who knew!
A website where you can vote to decide which kitten is the cutest as they are pitted against one another in a brutal, neverending round-robin tournament. A good excuse to look at cute pictures of cats. Though, I feel bad for the hairless cats who get rated low. :(
