Page that indexes the type and location of every(?) fossil that's been found throughout the world, on a map. You can also search by taxonomy. I'm not totally sure how to read the information that pops up when you click a fossil entry, but even just looking at the patterns of distribution on the map is very interesting.
Dirona Around the World - Adventures on Land and Sea
A website cataloguing the escapades of the MV Dirona, a boat based in Seattle which appears to be owned by a couple who have used it to travel all around the world (including several voyages across the ocean!)
They have an interactive map of everywhere the boat has traveled, and blog posts about the various locations they have visited. As well as a lot of information about the boat itself, if you're into that kind of thing. Looks like they've been updating it since at least 2011. Hey, cool website!

Online Zoo
I don't really know what the purpose of this is, because it's in Chinese and my Chinese knowledge is extremely limited -- plus all the text is in images so it's difficult to translate -- but it's certainly a beautiful site, and it's fun to click around even if you can't understand what it's saying. It appears to be a "zoo" full of classical Chinese art of various animals.
